• To enhance students' understanding of the Constitution, the Basic Law and national security, including the importance of such concepts as "One Country, Two Systems", the origin of the Basic Law and the spirit of the Constitution, as well as the concepts and aspects of national security;
• To help students understand the constitutional status of the Basic Law;
• To enhance students' awareness of the relationship between the Basic Law and the lives of Hong Kong people, including rights and responsibilities;
• To broaden students' knowledge about the history and development of the HKSAR since its establishment, as well as the way the Basic Law could facilitate the development of the HKSAR;
• To help students understand their obligation to abide by the laws in force in the HKSAR; and
• To encourage students to learn about the development of our country in various aspects.

• The Competition consists of the Heat and the Final.
• To participate, students must be:
• studying Primary 1 to 6 (for primary section); or
• studying Secondary 1 to 6 (for secondary section).
